A new tire wasn't exactly in the budget...

Well...my budget is definitely not that "tight", but I had not planned on buying a new tire today. I have been avoiding getting it checked out because I had a feeling the prognosis wasn't going to be good. I knew it wouldn't be able to be patched when the guy came out and said "I have bad news and worse news." Oh joy! Please. Do tell! 1) I needed a new tire and they couldn't patch it. 2) They didn't have my tire in stock and it needed to be sent here from a different location.

I needed/wanted it done today. My week is busy and I didn't want to mess with it any other day. I needed to pick Carole Anne & Lucien up from the airport in a few hours and I just wanted the tire to be fixed! Thankfully they got it there in a couple of hours and I'm now the owner of a new tire. It's really annoying that my car is not old enough to need a new tire :(

The best part about it all is that Dad was super awesome and paid the bill :) Thanks Dad!

So...It's Day 5 and I still haven't spent any money. Whoo hoo!! No worries though. Day 6 is just around the corner and I'll definitely be spending money. Carole Anne is a bad influence (haha)! We're getting Einsteins for breakfast and we're meeting Des for lunch. I'll blow half of my monthly budget tomorrow (giggle)!

but i was at Kohl's with my mom the other day and i saw this cute sign and i went "OMG, HOW CUTE!" My mom says, "Are you going to get it?" Me:"No, i can't...i don't need it. Remember? It's my new thing..no spending money on things i just don't need." My mom:"I'll buy it." Me:"okay!" LOL!!!!!!!! My parents are EXACTLY like yours. We go out to eat and my dad says, "Put your money away..don't argue with your father! I'm paying!" Um, if you insist..... ;)

  6. Which one did you go to? Is there one in Frisco now? I need to quit thinking about it or I'll be tempted to go for lunch. ;)

  7. The one in Plano off of Parker/Tollway :)

You should go there for lunch and then bring one to me (Asiago not toasted with Jalapeno salsa cream cheese...haha)

  8. That's one of the ones I used to manage. Perhaps you should try a different one in Plano though. DO NOT ask why. ;)

  10. Trust me - you just don't want to know. I'd imagine things could have changed since I was there... But the whole reason I was there was to change it & I couldn't, so I doubt things have changed. ;)
